Finding Levens Hall

Located less than five miles from Junction 36 of the M6, just five miles south of the beautiful market town of Kendal, and at the entrance to the Lake District National Park, Levens Hall can be easily reached.
By Car
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36 (A590, signposted Barrow-in-Furness) then take the A6 south (signposted Milnthorpe). Follow the brown tourist signs. Parking is free.
By Train
The nearest mainline train station is Oxenholme Lake District. From here, a short ten-minute taxi journey will take you to the main entrance of Levens Hall. There are direct train services to Oxenholme from Manchester Airport, London Euston and Glasgow Central.
By Bus
The 555 Lakes Rider Keswick to Lancaster service, which runs via Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere, stops directly outside Levens Hall. This bus runs hourly on weekdays and 2-hourly on Sundays. The 755 also stops at Levens Bridge and runs from Heysham to Bowness via Kendal. This bus runs four times a day.

By Coach
We offer free coach parking to pre-arranged group visits. Careful negotiation of the main entrance gates is required and ideally should be approached from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway rather than from Milnthorpe/Carnforth Junction 35 of the M6.
