Levens Deer Park is located opposite the entrance to Levens Hall and offers three quarters of a mile of some of the most scenic fishing imaginable. The River Kent is one of the country’s fastest flowing rivers. It is an important salmon river but there is also a significant run of Sea Trout and Brown Trout.

There are a number of rods available on the Levens Park and The Waste Fishing Syndicates for the current season.

Fly casting and fishing tuition

Ben Crawshaw, who has over 30 years of experience in fly fishing, is offering casting and fly fishing tuition at Levens Hall.

Fly casting lessons are suitable for anglers of any experience level including complete beginners. The aim of these is to explain, demonstrate and teach useful techniques and good form. Tuition from an expert will help you catch more fish. Ben will deliver sessions throughout the year on a stretch of the River Kent, owned by Levens Estate.

Guided fly fishing on the Kent will also be available for trout, seatrout and salmon during the season. Your guide can advise on which flies to use, effective methods and where to find the fish. Equipment is available for hire, if required.

Guided Fishing: £100/ Duration: 4 hours)
