Terrible Tudor Tales at Levens Hall
Come and listen to Terrible Tudor Tales in the garden at Levens Hall
Timings:
Throughout the day
Come one, come all, gather close to our storyteller, The Yarnsmith of Norwich, and hear tell the very tales that made folk laugh lustily and, roar loudly in Tudor times. Stories jokes, jests and riddles that were shared in tavern yards, churchyards, market places and anywhere else folks gathered together long ago. Stories about the 'common sort’, the poorer folk of Tudor times. Gather close in the Yarnsmith’s red and gold tent, and hear tell tales about lazy, long limbed lads, wise and witty women, poor penniless pedlars, foolish fops in fine attire, deals with the Devil himself and even a story about a plain and simple radish that was worth 100 gold coins!
