Levens Head Chef at Westmorland Show
Award winning Levens Kitchen's own Head Chef, Robert Stacey will be giving a cookery demonstration at the Westmorland County Show on 11th September

Levens Kitchen and Bakery’s Executive Chef Heads to Westmorland County Show

An executive chef, who has worked in some of the most famous kitchens in London and now leads the catering team and vision at a Lake District visitor attraction, will be heading to the Westmorland County Show to give an inspiring cookery demonstration.

Robert Stacey, executive head chef at Levens Kitchen, located at Levens Hall and Gardens in the South Lakes, will be demonstrating some of the culinary magic that was witnessed on TV screens across the UK in 2022. Then, he starred on Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals – a move that helped contribute to the launch of Levens Bakery, in July 2023.

Accompanying him to the food theatre at the Westmorland County Show, celebrating its 25th anniversary in the 225th year of the event, will be Levens Hall and Gardens’ owner, Richard Bagot.  He will be providing commentary on the dishes concocted, as Robert focuses on the preparation and cooking of those.

The session will showcase some of the invention that has made Levens Kitchen such a year-round success and a foodie bolthole in its own right, even when out of tourism season.

The success of the bistro-style café venue was another factor behind the decision to add Levens Bakery as a takeaway facility, to relieve some of the pressure and cope with the demand for baked goods and cakes.  Levens Bakery has since proved hugely popular as a sister business to Levens Kitchen and offers a range of different breads, pastries, cakes and patisserie delights.

Robert will be delighting Westmorland County Show visitors with his demonstration and will be able to answer any questions attendees may have.

Richard Bagot says, “This is an opportunity for Rob to showcase the skills that have already created a large fanbase for Levens Kitchen and  Levens Bakery, with many people visiting our venues on a daily or weekly basis.  We hope his demonstration will encourage others to head our way and discover what makes our foodie facilities so popular with both visitors to the South Lakes and local residents.”

Robert’s demonstration is scheduled for 3pm on September 11, and will be available to anyone attending the show, under the standard admission price.
