Full Time Baker / Pastry Chef required for Levens Bakery, Levens Hall

Levens Kitchen are currently looking for a Baker to join our brilliant and expanding catering team covering seven days per week, working DAYTIME ONLY

Levens Kitchen opened in March 2019 serving bistro/high-end café food and has already proved a huge success. The business offers lunch service along with drinks, cakes and takeaway throughout the day. Due to increasing demand we are now expanding our catering provision with a new bakery which will open at the beginning of May, 2023. The bakery will provide cakes and bread for takeaway and for sale within the restaurant.

The selected candidate will work mainly within the new bakery and closely with Estate staff and the Head Chef to make best use of the Estate's resources throughout the menu.

Work will be split between 2 shifts on a rota basis - 7.30am to 3.30pm and 9am to 4pm

Candidate specification:

• Assist with all hot and cold food preparation working with more senior chefs where appropriate
• Measure dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
• Assist with deliveries and stock rotation
• Have a willingness to learn with a positive attitude
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
• Work in an efficient and orderly manner
• Help organise and maintain work areas, coolers and storage areas
• Hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate
