Please take your group to the Kiosk to book in. Here, payment
should be made and tickets will be issued.
One cheque for the whole group
is preferred, made out to LEVENS HERITAGE. Company credit cards are also accepted (other than American Express)
To gain the most from their visit, encourage your party to divide up and visit the
House, Gardens and Buttery in small groups.
It is appreciated that you may have only an approximate idea
of the numbers in your group when making the booking. If there is
a significant variation it would be helpful if you could telephone
us prior to your visit. In the event of a cancellation less than 14 days
before the booked visit, a cancellation fee of £10 will be charged to cover administration costs.
It would be appreciated if you would advise us at the time of
booking whether your party intends to visit the Bellingham Buttery for lunch,
so that we can plan to cater for this number of visitors. Food is prepared to order and cannot be ordered in advance.
Guided tours of the House are available in the mornings (Mondays to Thursdays) commencing
no later than 10.30am, by prior arrangement.
School groups are very welcome. Admission is free to teachers and adult supervisors in the ratio of 1 to every 8-10 children. We suggest starting the tour of the House at 10 am, and can also arrange for the children to meet one of the gardeners.
|
There is access for wheelchair users and those with impaired mobility to the Bellingham Buttery, Gift Shop and most areas of the Gardens. Pathways through the Gardens are mostly gravel, with some grass paths - please note that these may become slippy during or after rainfall.
We regret that because of the number of steps and stairs, the Hall is unsuitable for wheelchair-users. A DVD "virtual tour" runs in the Buttery and can be viewed at any time between 10 am and 4.30 pm..
INCENTIVES AND SPECIAL OFFERS
Free admission for the organiser
Free admission for the organiser on a preliminary visit
(by prior arrangement)
Discounted tickets to all members of the group
A voucher for refreshments issued to the coach driver.
Please make your coach driver aware that the entrance to Levens Hall is through a narrow gateway, and requires a tight turn, especially when approaching from the southerly direction (A6 via Milnthorpe), in which case they should avoid the leftward deceleration lane and keep to the centre/right of the main roadway.
